1001 reason I choose accounting as my program in Diponegoro University

Program that I have chosen today is the accounting in Diponegoro University. Why I choose accounting as my program in university? I will tell you The answer in this following essay

When I was in high school class of 3-PL Van-Lith I attended an interview with the teacher accompanying the guidance counseling (BK) are useful to guide me to choose the right major for me. There I was reminded again that the selection of college majors when I was very influential for my future. Because if I make a wrong decision  will actually make me hard in the future.

How lucky am I,  when I was in second grade high school my school have a OPP (oriented profession calls) program which we as students are allowed to choose the jobs we want and we will be in place in such work, and I chose to be a journalist at the time and I got a job at Metro TV Jakarta. I was immediately engaged with the world of journalism and I know a man who became my role model he is Mr. Don Bosco Selamun. I learned a lot from him, he taught me and gave discourses that to be a journalist you no need to major in communications. At that time I was taught many things that opened my mind.

Back again when I guided by my teacher BK, there I remember what was taught by a Mr. of Don Bosco,  that because I've been directly in the world of journalism I know the reality that is not my world. So I began to think by judging from some of the aspects inside myself:

1.       From the psychological side

After I attended a program held by my school, I started to realize where my strengths and weaknesses and where my interest is to work. From the beginning I started high school has decided to enter into the path of social because I really liked it, not only liked but I love it., Then from this psychological aspect I began to see the opportunities that exist in the social track is one of them is the economics side, because the economy was holding an important role in this world, not only in Indonesia but also throughout the world, without a strong economy of a State have not be able to survive in this global era I started to choose to be majoring in economics with specialization in accounting, beside I mastered that lesson,  while in high school I also really like accounting and mathematics. That is my consideration of the psychological side

2.       From the academic side

As I wrote above that I loved accounting and maths lessons then I chose to major of accounting when I was in college. Because I am confident with my academic ability that I can compete with people who also want to choose that majors. I am not afraid to confront the agument that accounting majors are the most difficult majors in social sciences, it's because I did like accounting and I am confident with my academic ability. That's what makes me acceptable in Diponegoro University Faculty of Economics and Business majoring in Accounting through the SMPTN (Seleksi Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negri)

3.       From my  parents

When I decided to choose accounting as a major goal of my lectures, my parents very supportive of me. Incidentally they also are expecting me to enter in college accounting programs. That's what makes me excited to enter the accounting department, and I proved that I could enter the accounting department and make  my parents proud of me.

4.       From relational side

My consideration of the relational side is if I make a wrong direction it will inevitably lead to a negative effect for my life, then after much consideration from the sides above I convince myself to pick my accounting department as a way of my life. Because I really like the accounting and I sure the job opportunities for accounting graduates is very wide open, not only as accountant , it could be as auditor, financial managers, and many more job opportunities. Moreover, I believe with more value added will I get if I majored in accounting as a way of  my life.
